Angel from Hell: Cancelled; CBS Sitcom Pulled from Schedule

Angel from Hell TV show on CBS: canceled, no season 2Jane Lynch has had successful runs on Hollywood Game Night and Glee but the same can’t be said for her Angel from Hell sitcom. The CBS TV series has been cancelled after just five episodes reports Deadline. There won’t be a second season and, at this point, it’s unknown if the remaining first season episodes will even air.

Angel From Hell follows what happens when eccentric Amy (Lynch) — a bold, larger-than life woman who claims to be a guardian angel — starts messing with the life of dermatologist Doctor Allison Fuller (Maggie Lawson). Kevin Pollak, and Kyle Bornheimer round out the cast.

The sitcom was initially slated to start airing last November but its debut was delayed until January. The premiere drew a 1.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 8.13 million viewers. The ratings quickly fell to a 1.3 in the demo with fewer than six million viewers. Word is that there’s also been creative issues behind-the-scenes.

Angel from Hell has been pulled from the schedule and will be replaced by a rerun of The Big Bang Theory this Thursday. Starting next week, 2 Broke Girls will replace the series in the 9:30pm timeslot.

What do you think? Do you like the Angel from Hell TV show? Are you sorry that it’s been cancelled? Would you watch the remaining eight installments?
