TV show description:
This slapstick, police procedural spoof comedy follows dedicated LAPD detectives as they investigate outlandish yet serious crimes.
Detective Angie Tribeca (Rashida Jones) has gone through 236 partners. A lone-wolf, Tribeca makes it known she prefers to work solo.
When her gruff boss, Lieutenant Chet Atkins (Gere Burns), assigns Detective Jay Geils (Hayes MacArthur) as her next partner, Tribeca is not pleased.
Detective DJ Tanner (Deon Cole) works with Tribeca and Geils, helping them to solve crimes. His K-9 partner, German Shepherd Hoffman (Jagger), is on the case, as well.
Dr. Monica Scholls (Andrée Vermeulen) is the oddball medical examiner. Dr. Edelweiss (Alfred Molina) is a lab specialist, with morphing physical disabilities.
Cases involve subjects like a ventriloquist’s murder, a string of baker deaths, a ferret smuggling ring, and a gang of Cockney criminals disguised as chimney sweeps.
