TV show description:
Reality show executive producer Mark Burnett produces this game show and created it from a regular bit on The Howard Stern Show. It was pitched as a six-question game show with only one network president able to “win” the quiz. It was the one from FOX, the network that went on to air the show.

Comedian Jeff Foxworthy hosts, and each year a new group of five fifth-grade students joins the show. Foxworthy presents the questions to an adult contestant. All questions are taken from real elementary school textbooks. If the player is able to answer all ten questions, he/she wins the million dollar prize, yet few contestants have ever won.

The questions are presented in different levels from first through fifth grade, and through different subjects learned at that level, from spelling to math to science. The contestants get to choose a fifth grade student to help, and get different chances to use this help, such as “peeking,” “copying,” etc. If the contestant chooses to quit the show with the money they have earned so far, or if they get a question wrong, they have to face the camera and declare, “I am not smarter than a 5th grader.”
