How will season five of Arrested Development work? TVLine reports the long-awaited new season will feature flashbacks with different actors.
A fifth season of the Netflix comedy has been in the works since season four debuted in 2013. Due to the cast’s busy schedules, the season has been in its own kind of arrested development. However, executive producer Brian Grazer recently revealed a deal for season five will soon be announced.
In order to accommodate the cast’s schedules, TVLine says season five will feature “a major prequel element,” with different actors playing the characters at a younger age. Netflix has yet to confirm the plan, but EP Grazer earlier revealed the new season will consist of 17 episodes.
