Is The Bachelor in trouble? Recently, series creator Mike Fleiss posted a cryptic message possibly concerning the ABC TV show’s future, Insider reports.
The reality dating series has been one of ABC’s top-rated programs for more than 20 seasons now. The most recent season (21) averaged a 2.32 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.274 million viewers, making it the network’s highest-rated unscripted series for the 2016-2017 season.
So why would The Bachelor be at risk of cancellation? According to Insider, ABC is cutting hundreds of jobs and the reality show might be a victim of those cuts. On Twitter, creator Mike Fleiss told fans they can expect “shocking” news about the series in the near future. ABC has not confirmed any news regarding the possible cancellation, but we will update as soon as news becomes available:
