Last year, ABC almost cancelled its Bachelor in Paradise TV show due to alleged misconduct on the set. The reality TV series rallied though and only dropped somewhat in the Nielsen ratings. Now that it is back for a fifth season, without a big, public scandal, will the audience return? Will Bachelor in Paradise be cancelled or renewed for season six? Stay tuned.
An ABC dating reality TV series hosted by Chris Harrison, Bachelor in Paradise brings previous contestants of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette et al, together under one roof, as they try to win a big cash prize — and maybe even finally find true love on television. In the fifth season, the cast includes: bartenders Wells Adams and Yuki Kimura, and franchise alumni Angela Amezcua, Annaliese Puccini, Astrid Loch, Bibiana Julian, Chelsea Roy, David Ravitz, Eric Bigger, Joe Amabile, John Graham, Jordan Kimball, Kendall Long, Kenny Layne, Kevin Wendt, Krystal Nielson, Nick Spetsas, Nysha Norris, and Tia Booth.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
