Freeform is developing the Bad Dates TV show from Veep’s Timothy Simons, with writers Derek Elliott and Jack Donaldson. Elliott and Donaldson are co-writing the dating comedy.
Deadline reports, “Bad Dates will feature regular everyday people’s worst and most awkward dating experiences, reenacted. Simons will not act in the show, but will serve as producer. Brillstein’s Ben Curtis will executive produce.”
Simons plays Congressman Jonah Ryan in the Veep TV series on HBO. Per Deadline, Donaldson and Elliott are also developing The Whole Nine at CBS, with Chris Case.
What do you think? How do you like the sound of Bad Dates? If Freeform orders it to series, will you check it out?
