TV show description:
This single-camera comedy is based on the feature film of the same name. It follows a hot, fearless, and unapologetic former trophy wife who masquerades as a teacher in order to find a new man after her wealthy husband leaves her penniless.

Dumped, divorced and broke (due to a bad pre-nuptial agreement), Meredith Davis (Ari Graynor) is inspired by her friend’s smart, awkward stepdaughter, Lily (Sara Rodier). Meredith devises the perfect 3-step plan: pose as a teacher at Lily’s ritzy middle school; meet and marry a rich single dad; and return to a lavish lifestyle.

Using a phony resume, quick thinking Meredith effortlessly charms Principal Carl Gaines (David Alan Grier) who is oblivious to her agenda.

The faculty includes gym teacher Joel Kotsky (Ryan Hansen). He’s her handsome former high school classmate who sees right through Meridith’s antics but is amused anyway.

Shy Irene (Sara Gilbert) is an introverted teacher who’s overly excited at the possibility of making a best friend in Meredith. Uptight Ginny Taylor-Clapp (Kristin Davis) is Faculty President and a busybody who resents Meredith and suspects she’s not who she seems to be.

Series Finale:
