What’s your clown name? That’s the question Zach Galifianakis has to answer in the newly released promo for his upcoming FX comedy series, Baskets.
The series comes from the comedy dream team of Galifianakis, Louis C.K., and Portlandia director Jonathan Krisel. The half-hour series will follow Galifianakis as Chip Baskets, a corporate employee who leaves his job to pursue his dream of becoming a professional clown. But after he flunks out of a Parisian clown academy, he winds up working the rodeo circuit in Bakersfield, Ca.
Last year, FX ordered 10 episodes of the single-camera comedy. The series will premiere in January 2016.
And if you were wondering what Basket’s dream clown name was?
Renoir.
