A former Grey’s Anatomy star is checking into Bates Motel for its final season. TV Line reported that Brooke Smith has joined the series.
According to TV Line, Smith will play “Sheriff Dana Green, the new face of the law in White Pine Bay. She succeeds the now-incarcerated Alex Romero.” Her character is described as “competent, professional, moralistic and sharp. She possesses a small-town vibe that belies her highly observant nature.”
Smith appeared on Grey’s Anatomy during its fifth season. Since then, she has appeared on Law & Order: SVU, Ray Donovan and Nashville.
