Is Battle of the Network Stars making a comeback? Deadline reports ABC is developing a reboot of the classic TV series.
Originally hosted by Howard Cosell, the competition show featured stars from various NBC, CBS, and ABC series participating in physical challenges. The show began in 1976 and ended in 1988.
According to Deadline, ABC plans to run the new Battle of the Network Stars as a summer event series featuring “TV stars from all eras and genres on the teams, which would compete to raise money for charity.”
