Better Late Than Never: William Shatner, Henry Winkler Series to Finally Premiere

William Shatner and Henry Winkler are hitting the road. Today, NBC announced their new event series Better Late Than Never will premiere in August.

The comedy reality series will follow Shatner, Winkler, Terry Bradshaw, and George Foreman as they travel to Asia “with no schedule and no itinerary.” Comedian Jeff Dye will be the four men’s only guide.

Better Late Than Never premieres on August 23rd.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — June 1, 2016 — NBC has set Tuesday, Aug. 23 as the premiere for its new comedy event series “Better Late Than Never” and Monday, July 11 for the season debut of “Running Wild with Bear Grylls.” Both shows will begin at 10 p.m.

Based on a popular Korean format, “Better Late Than Never” is a fish-out-of-water show that follows cultural icons Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman on their greatest adventure yet. Deciding it’s better late than never, these four national treasures embark on the journey of a lifetime, traveling across Asia on their own with no schedule and no itinerary. The only help will come from Jeff Dye, a young tech-savvy comedian with an agenda of his own and who isn’t above leading the men off track. Each stop is packed with hilarious cultural experiences, heartwarming spectacles and unexpected twists as our legends take on this unforgettable adventure.
