The Big Bang Theory: Season 11 Contracts in the Works

The Big Bang Theory TV show on CBS

Some big changes might be in store for The Big Bang Theory. Variety reports contract negotiations are in the works for season 11 of the CBS sitcom.

As reported earlier, the current 10th season is the last contracted season for the show’s main cast, which includes TV’s highest-paid comedy actors Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, and Johnny Galecki.

The last time the cast negotiated a new contract with the series, Cuoco, Parsons, and Galecki secured a $1 million-per-episode deal. Now, with supporting stars Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg receiving around $900,000 per episode, the show’s production costs have risen exponentially to about $9 million an episode.

However, despite rising production costs, The Big Bang Theory remains one of the most successful series on TV. For example, the show’s season 10 premiere earned a 3.76 rating in the 18-49 demo and 15.816 million viewers.

Who knows what the season 11 contract negotiations will bring, but star Kaley Cuoco did recently suggest the show may be headed toward the end.
