Big Little Lies wrapped on HBO recently, and there are no plans currently to air a second season. That could change though! The author of the book the series is based on has been approached about a possible sequel.
Lianne Moriarty wrote the book, and she is now thinking about a way to extend the story. The series starred Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.
Deadline reported that Moriarty said the following about the potential for more of the HBO series:
“I have started to think about ways this could continue. The producers have asked me to see if I can come up with some ideas. I wouldn’t write a new book but perhaps a new story, and then we’ll see what happens.”
