What’s up with Billy & Billie? According to TVLine, the season two status for DirecTV’s original series is still up in the air.
The first season premiered in early 2015.
The dramedy follows two step-siblings, Billy (Adam Brody) and Billie (Lisa Joyce), as they deal with the consequences of their scandalous romance. Jake Lacy, Gia Crovatin, and Phil Burke also star.
When asked if there was any news of when the series would return, TVLine’s Matt Mitovich said, “there is still no word on the status of Season 2.”
In his Reddit AMA, creator Neil LaBute did say he has ideas for a second season, but he still didn’t know if there would be one.
LaBute, on season two plans:
“I hope so! Billy & Billie has been a really great opportunity for me to fully try my hand at television. We’ve discussed another year or two and I do have ideas where to take the story so it’ll depend on a lot of factors like actors’ availabilities and things like that but I would love to do another season of the show.”
