Black Lightning is coming to FOX. Deadline reports the network has ordered a new pilot featuring the DC superhero.
The series comes from Supergirl producer Greg Berlanti, Mara Brock Akil, and Salim Akil.
Black Lightning will center on Jefferson Pierce, a retired superhero who suits back up as the wanted vigilante Black Lightning to help protect his family and his neighborhood. Akil and Brock Akil will executive produce alongside Berlanti and Sarah Schechter.
