What can you do? Remember, the ideal scenario for CBS is for many millions of people to watch the show on their television sets, while it’s being broadcast. Unfortunately, ratings are put together based on a sampling of viewers. If you’re a “Nielsen household,” your viewing is being counted. If not, well, it’s not.
However, if you like $#*! My Dad Says and want to see it continue, there are a few things you can do to help.
- If you’re a Nielsen family, watch the show whenever it’s on. If not, watch it on CBS.com or purchase episodes online so your viewing will be counted directly. Encourage others to watch the show. You might know a Nielsen family and not be aware of it.
- Talk about the show with others; at school, at work, online, or wherever. Creating a buzz about a show that you’re invested in gets other people interested and might help bring former viewers back.
- Sign the petition below and encourage others to do the same.
- Write to the network. Be respectful. Everyone responds better to courtesy. Tell them how much you enjoy the show, that you’ve signed the petition, and that you want to see it continue. - Take note of the products that are advertised during the show. Write the advertisers and tell them that you appreciate their sponsoring the show and that you buy their products (if you do).

This was a really very funny and interesting show, with up to date situations and absolutley relatable. My hat goes off to the casting and actors and writers (love William Shatner as well. Was one of my favorite shows which my friends came over to watch because I was the only one in the neighborhood to have it (was in running competion with The Big Bang Theory which I love). Not to be rude but who ever cancelled this show and the TV show Firefly is an idiot (sorry).

With so many not entertaining shows on I cannot beleive that they would take this one off the air. There are far too many reality shows on now and when you would like to entertained that is all you see. I can get reality every day of the week at my work and from my own family. To escape in the world of laughter and comedy is a treat. This show was just getting into its own and they players were all so good and did not need to have second season to start to click....What was going through someones mind....Please bring it back.

Please bring back this show. It was awesome. change the name to Stuff my dad says so my PVR can actually pull it in. I think I manually had to push record 15 or 16 times last season because we didn't want to miss our favourite show.

Everytime I think a network has finally figured out what people want to see, they mess with the schedule so nobody can find the show, then claim nobody is watching. This show never had a dud, but it was a bit hard to figure out when I might be lucky enough to catch it actually on. You need to find a new way to take your ratings if the "Neilson Families" are telling you that WE the real people out there are not watching it. I can't believe that you would not be able to organize a volunteer based (people sign up for it) program where anyone can opt to have you know what they are watching and how they watch it. (live, DVR, Tivo, Internet broadcast, etc) Honestly, look at Family Guy on Fox, canceled for like 6 years, and now making more money than ever. You have it in your power to give us what we really want to see, and be the first to break the "reality show addiction" most netoworks are trying to force down our thoats. The world has enough negatives in it, shows like Sh*t My Dad Says are just one way people can escape and enjoy life each week.

Ok, this show is just hilarious! Shatner, Sasso and Sullivan are fantastic and I even liked newbie Devlin(I've never seen him in anything else so he is new to me) and the chemistry between this cast is fantastic! Ignore the complainers that have the sticks up their...well, you know, and let us people with a good sense of humor enjoy some good, hilarious television!
