There will be Bloodline. Recently, the series’ cast and creators spoke with Deadline about the future of the Netflix show.
The drama centers on the Rayburns, a Florida family hiding dark secrets. The cast includes Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Sissy Spacek, and John Leguizamo. Season two just debuted in May.
While Netflix hasn’t renewed the series for a third season yet, co-creator Glenn Kessler says he has more seasons planned:
We always planned on multiple seasons. It’s about the family and the relationships of those family members. Danny was always going to de, like in Crime and Punishment and other stories where it happens early. Bloodline is about watching these relationships evolve.”
Earlier, co-creator Todd A. Kessler said a season three renewal may depend on cost:
We decided to set the show there and film the show there because it’s crucial to what the show is, not because of the tax incentive, but it does affect things financially for us and the show will be challenged because of that. It makes things more difficult. We’re hoping there will be more to come.”
