Blunt Talk: Season One Ratings

Many TV viewers know Patrick Stewart from his long and successful run on Star Trek: The Next Generation and his voice work on the American Dad! animated series. Now, he’s trying a live-action comedy series called Blunt Talk. It’s already been picked up for a second season but will it be a ratings success? Will the Starz execs wish that they’d cancelled it instead? Stay tuned.

Set in Los Angeles, Blunt Talk revolves around Falklands War veteran and broadcaster Walter Blunt (Patrick Stewart). He’s a British import who’s intent on conquering the world of American cable news as well as the fallout from his well-intentioned but mostly misguided decision-making — both on and off the air. The rest of the cast includes Jacki Weaver, Adrian Scarborough, Dolly Wells, Mary Holland, Karan Soni, and Timm Sharp.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Final season averages: 0.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 220,000 total viewers.
