TV’s favorite self-loathing talking horse is back. Recently, BoJack Horseman‘s creator, Raphael Bob-Waksberg, spoke with Indiewire about the Netflix series’ upcoming third season.
BoJack Horseman was renewed for a third season back in July.
Speaking to Indiewire, Bob-Waksberg said season three would be “plenty weird” and “definitely dark.” This comes off a second season that further delved into issues of alcoholism and depression alongside surreal elements like an improv comedy cult and a genetically modified chicken crossing a road.
On the flip side, the creator also said season three would “have some fun surprises.”
Season three premieres in 2016.
Bob-Waksberg, on the new season:
We just finished writing the season. We had our last table read a couple weeks ago, right before Thanksgiving, which is great [because] now we know what the season is. But now we have to make it. We’ve been finishing up record[ings] and animating the first few. It’s really coming together, and I think we have some fun surprises and do a lot of fun stuff.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of BoJack Horseman? What do you hope happens in season three?
