It’s time to bid Bones farewell. Recently, stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel spoke to USA Today about the upcoming final season of the FOX TV series.
The long-running crime drama stars Deschanel as forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance “Bones” Brennan and Boreanaz as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth. The cast also includes Michaela Conlin, Tamara Taylor, TJ Thyne, and John Boyd.
In the interview, Deschanel said the last day on set was very emotional for her:
I was very emotional, and I didn’t know that would be it. I thought I would be working the next day. That was a bit of a shock, honestly, and I fell into a puddle of tears.”
Later, Boreanaz described how Booth and Brennan have changed each other over the course of the series:
Booth taught her compassion and love for others, that you have to take your time and not blurt things out,” Boreanaz explains. “He taught her how to see people for who they are, not what they are. She was always very clinical, so he opened up her life force. For Booth, it was being able to recognize the clinical aspects of the job that he was doing. Booth fell not only for her, but her determination and passion for finding the killer or getting the job done.”
The final season of Bones begins tomorrow, January 3rd, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
