Border Security: Canada’s Front Line: Cancelled; No Season Four

Border Security: Canada's Front Line

The border has been shut down. CTV News reports the National Geographic series Border Security: Canada’s Front Line has been cancelled after three seasons.

The unscripted series centered on the interactions between Canadian border officers and the public. The show began in 2012.

Border Security was cancelled after the Canadian government found the border agency had violated the rights of Oscar Mata Duran, a Mexican man featured in the show. According to the government report, the agency “breached the Privacy Act by allowing production company Force Four to film the agency’s examination of the migrant labourer” without proper consent.

What do you think? Have you seen Border Security? Do you think there was a breach of privacy on the show’s part?
