Is The Bridge coming back for another season? According to Radio Times, the UK series is expected to be renewed for a fourth season soon.
The crime drama stars Sofia Helin as Saga Noren, the lead homicide detective in Malmo, Sweden. The cast also includes Kim Bodnia, Thure Lindhardt, and Dag Malmberg.
In an interview with Radio Times, series creator Hans Rosenfeldt said he’s expecting a renewal decision within the next couple days:
The final decision hasn’t been taken yet but everything is in place. I guess they will push the button in the next few days.”
He added that he’s already begun writing the next season, and it may feature Saga’s first partner, Martin Rohde:
You should never say never. We won’t bring back Martin for nostalgia. If we bring him back, it’s because we think it’s the best thing for the story. We’ll see. You never know.”
