Fans of the Broad City TV show don’t have to worry about the series being cancelled too soon. Comedy Central renewed it through season five, back in January of 2016. Will their faith be rewarded, or will the ratings drop and make them regret the renewal? Stay tuned.
A scripted comedy, Broad City follows two best friends — Ilana (Ilana Glazer) and Abbi (Abbi Jacobson) — as they navigate their twenties in New York City. In the fourth season, Comedy Central says, “Abbi and Ilana will experience NYC in a whole new way: the dead of winter.” They’ll also get new jobs, mark their “Friendiversary,” experiment with mushrooms, explore being witches, and take a trip to Florida. Hannibal Buress, John Gemberling, Stephen Schneider, Arturo Castro, Paul W. Downs, Chris Gethard, Eliot Glazer, Susie Essman, Bob Balaban, and Nicole Drespel recur on the series.
Below are the show’s TV ratings, typically the best way to tell if the series will be cancelled or renewed. These figures will be updated as the weeks progress.

For comparisons: The third season of Broad City averaged a 0.37 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 617,000 total viewers.
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays. They are sometimes harder to come by so there may be occasional delays or gaps.
What do you think? Do you still like the Broad City TV series? Are you happy it has been renewed through season five?
