CBS is sticking with Michael Weatherly. Deadline reports the NCIS actor has been cast in the network’s new drama pilot, Bull.
Earlier, we reported Weatherly would be leaving NCIS at the end of its current season. He has played Agent Tony DiNozzo since the series began in 2003,
Bull is based on the early days of daytime talk show host Dr. Phil (McGraw), when the doctor was “head of one of the most prolific trial consulting services of all time.” McGraw has co-written the pilot alongside Paul Attanasio.
Weatherly will play Dr. Jason Bull, “who runs Trial Sciences Inc., a company that analyzes juries to help develop defense strategies.”
