Card Sharks, Press Your Luck: ABC Revives More Classic Games Shows

ABC TV shows

ABC is ready to play. Deadline reports the network has ordered revivals of the classic game shows Card Sharks and Press Your Luck.

Originally a CBS game show, Press Your Luck pits three contestants against each other by “answering questions to earn spins on the Big Board. Contestants then use their spins to win cash and prizes while trying to avoid the Whammy, who could take all of their winnings and leave them with nothing.” The original series ran from 1983 to 1986.

Meanwhile, Card Sharks “features two players who face off in a head-to-head elimination game with the goal of one player making it to the grand prize winning deck.” The original series ran on NBC from 1978 to 1981 and was briefly revived by CBS in the late ’80s.

ABC has not yet announced premiere dates for their Card Sharks and Press Your Luck revivals, but production on both is slated to begin this spring.

What do you think? Do you remember the Press Your Luck and Card Sharks TV shows? Will you watch the ABC revivals?
