James Van Der Beek is headed across the pond. Deadline reports the actor has been cast in Sky One’s upcoming series Carters Get Rich.
The UK sitcom will follow ” a normal family as they try to hold onto their rags in the face of corrupting riches.” The cast also includes Rhashan Stone, Kerry Godliman¸ John Finnemore, Rhianna Merralls, and Rio Chambers.
Van Der Beek will play Trent Zebrisky, an American billionaire who buys 11-year-old Harry Carter’s social networking app, Honc. Carters Get Rich is slated to debut on Sky One this fall.
