CBS TV Ratings for Thursday, March 8, 2012

CBS TV ratingsFreshman TV series Person of Interest is one of those rare shows that’s recovered from a ratings slide.

The CBS show debuted with a 3.1 rating in the all-important 18-49 demographic and 13.33 million total viewers. The numbers started to slide immediately after the premiere and dropped to a 2.6 rating by week three. Person of Interest’s demo stayed around that level for the rest of 2011, putting it on the bubble for possible renewal or cancellation.

In 2012 however, the numbers rebounded and have often exceeded the series premiere ratings. If you watch television ratings, you know that doesn’t happen very often at all. According to the fast affiliate numbers for last night’s episode, Person of Interest hit a new series high with a 3.4 rating in the coveted demo and 15.78 million total viewers.

CBS has issued a press release touting the show’s performance, as well as the ratings for their other Thursday night shows.
