Los Angeles (August 29, 2016) – Can you guess that TV show? It’s funny. Unpredictable. Hosted by Craig Ferguson. It’s garnered two consecutive Daytime Emmy(R) wins for Outstanding Game Show Host. That’s right, it’s Celebrity Name Game! This hilarious game show returns for its third season on Monday, September 19, 2016 (check local listings). The syndicated, half-hour weekday strip is executive produced by Courteney Cox and David Arquette.
Fast-paced and funny, Celebrity Name Game pairs celebrities with contestants as they improvise clues to identify as many correct answers as possible in a given time period. The answers aren’t just celebrity names but range from actors, singers, athletes and pop culture figures to places, brands, books, TV shows, movies, food and even cartoon characters. Consisting of two competitive speed rounds, followed by a third round where Craig Ferguson provides the clues, teams must face a broad mix of clues and categories with the winning team earning a chance to win $20,000 in the final round!
“I love hosting Celebrity Name Game, not to mention a Daytime Emmy(R) for every season so far – although I guess I did just mention it. I’m genuinely thrilled that the show is back for a third season. I have so much fun playing the game and giving away other peoples’ money,” said Craig Ferguson.
