Something wicked may be coming soon to NBC. According to Deadline, the network has just bought a new pilot centered around a ghost town.
Written by Star-Crossed creator Meredith Averill, Centralia takes place in an area based off a real town of the same name in Pennsylvania where a mine fire has been burning since 1962. Due to a decline in the mining industry, residents began leaving Centralia, leaving it nearly desolate (save for eight people).
The series will explore the mystery and possible evil that lurks in the abandoned mines.
No word yet on any premiere date.
