Charmed fans will have to wait a little bit longer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW’s upcoming reboots of Charmed and The Lost Boys have been postponed to 2018.
From Jennie Snyder Urman, the Charmed remake will be set in 1976 and feature new characters. As reported earlier, original series castmembers Shannen Doherty, Rose McGowan, Holly Marie Combs, and Alyssa Milano are not attached to the reboot.
Based on the 1987 film, The Lost Boys series comes from iZombie showrunner Rob Thomas and “reimagines the film over seven seasons (and 70 years) with each frame covering a decade.” Season one of the vampire drama will be set in 1967 during San Francisco’s “Summer of Love.”
Though plans for both The CW series were announced this year, development is being delayed until 2018.
