Charmed finished out its run on WB a decade ago, but the fans still love this series. Brad Kern, the showrunner of the series, spoke with TV Line about the possibility of the series, and he teased the possibility of a reboot. The series starred Alyssa Milano, Shannen Doherty, and Holly Marie Combs when it premiered.
He said the following about how the series has managed to remain popular a decade after the finale aired:
“Charmed has sustained itself for over a decade, which I don’t think anyone expected, even though it makes perfect sense. It’s a timeless show about family, sisters and magic. Our daily mantra was: ‘This is a show about three sisters who happen to be witches, not three witches who happen to be sisters.’”
Is there a possibility of a reboot of the series at some point? Kern addressed that possibility, and he feels it is too soon to reboot the series, but he did not toss out the idea entirely. He said the following:
“It was a terrific series, and the girls’ kids would certainly be coming of age soon. I can definitely see it. They’re bringing back everything else, why not bring back a hit?”
