Chicago Fire will return to NBC with its fifth season in October, and the first previews for the upcoming season were released last week.
A preview for season five of Chicago Fire was released to the show’s Twitter account. The short clip included a voiceover by Dawson, who is played by Monica Raymund. At the end of season four, she became a foster mother to a troubled young boy.
She will have more to deal with next season. Her brother, Antonio from Chicago PD, will start a romance with someone from Firehouse 51.
A recent Entertainment Weekly report revealed that fans will see a romance between Antonio and Brett next season. The characters are played by Jon Seda and Kara Killmer.
Matt Olmstead said the following about the pair:
“There’s plenty to play in terms of the May-December version of Brett to Antonio — his character has a couple kids, he’s divorced, no way should he be with this woman, but she’s had her heart broken. She’s looking for a real man, he qualifies. He’s looking for a real soul, a real heart, and she qualifies.”
