Carl Weathers is is headed to the Windy City. The actor has been cast as State Attorney Mark Jefferies in the Chicago Justice TV series. The newest show in the Dick Wolf franchise is getting a backdoor pilot in an upcoming episode of sister-series Chicago PD.
Weathers joins Philip Winchester, Nazneen Contractor, and Joelle Carter, who were previously cast.
Deadline reports that Wolf made the announcement, during PaleyFest.
Although best known as Apollo Creed in Sylvester Stalone’s Rocky film franchise, Weathers is no stranger to the small screen. Most recently, he recurred as Beau, on the first season of USA Network‘s Colony.
