Chuck aired on NBC for five seasons before the network pulled the plug. While a sixth season is not in the cards, Zachary Levi is not against a return to Chuck, but he would want it in the form of Chuck movies.
Levi currently stars on Heroes Reborn, which premiered on NBC last month. The television mini-series is a revival of the Heroes series, which NBC canceled after four seasons.
During an interview with Yahoo, Levi spoke about Chuck.
“I think getting the band back together to do a Chuck movie every year, every two years that’s something I’d love. Getting everyone back together to continue the series would actually just be really difficult. I’m not saying it’s impossible, or that if they came and said ‘we have this great idea,’ and it was like 13 episodes or something, but we’re all in different places. Trying to get everybody back to do 13 episodes, that’s 6 months, it’s a difficult thing to do. So I don’t know about another season [of Chuck], but definitely I’d love to do Chuck movies, that would be fun.”
Chuck had many loyal fans that loved the series. With so many reboots and remakes, it might be nice to see this series return with its original cast with movies.
