For a while, Turner has branded TNT as its drama channel, while reserving comedies for TBS. Will Eliot Laurence’s dark dramedy, Claws, fit in with the rest of the TNT slate? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
Starring Niecy Nash as manicure shop owner and money launderer, Desna Simms, Claws follows the diverse and dangerous staff of her Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon. The TNT TV series also stars Carrie Preston, Harold Perrineau, Jenn Lyon, Judy Reyes, Karrueche Tran, Jason Antoon, Kevin Rankin, Jack Kesy, and Dean Norris. Desna dreams of getting out from under the mob’s thumb, and starting afresh in a beautiful new shop, but the universe may have other plans.
