Deadline and Broadcast & Cable are both reporting that Reelz has renewed its Collision Course TV series. Neither report, however, cites a season number. The series is not documented on IMDb.com.

It seems more likely Reelz has ordered Muse Entertainment’s Collision Course to series. According to the Muse press site, the upcoming first season of Collision Course contains six one-hour episodes. Collision Course is executive produced by Michael Prupas, Betty Palik, and Rob Swartz. Jonas Prupas produces, and Gary Lang directs.

On February 20, 2016, Reelz aired the Caitlyn Jenner: Collision Course TV documentary special, also from Muse. The special examined the multi-car accident involving Jenner, which resulted in the death of 69-year-old Kim Howe. Reelz does not yet have a Collision Course TV series listed on its press website. It seems the Jenner special served as a pilot for the upcoming series.

According to the Deadline report, the upcoming season of Collision Course will feature plane and automobile accidents involving celebrities including the late Paul Walker and John Denver, as well as Tracy Morgan’s near-fatal auto accident, Harrison Ford’s airplane crash, and Justin Bieber’s spotty driving record, too.

Here is more from Broadcast & Cable:

“Our viewers are responding when we show the real stories behind celebrities and movies so we’re giving them more of what they want,” said Steve Cheskin, senior VP of Reelz programming. “These three series shows the many twists and turns along the path to being a household name and often it’s what happens behind the scenes that makes a story so compelling.”
