Colony: Season Three? USA Showrunner Planning at Least Six Seasons

Did you catch last week’s premiere of Colony, season two, on USA Network? Carlton Cuse hopes so. He and co-creator Ryan Condal reset the sci-fi alien invasion drama, to create an easy entry point for new viewers. In addition, they’re not just looking forward to a third season. Cuse and Condal are already talking about plot points that will occur in seasons five and six.

Taking place in the near-future, Colony features an Earth where citizens are under military occupation by the Colony Transitional Authority — part of a large invading force of extraterrestrial origin. Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies, Peter Jacobson, Amanda Righetti, Tory Kittles, Alex Neustaedter, and Isabella Crovetti star.

 

Carlton Cuse Plans for at Least Six Seasons of Colony on USA Network

 

The former Lost showrunner already has plans for season three and far beyond on USA Network. Here’s more from THR:

Speaking of season three, it’s certainly early days as we’re only speaking about the season two premiere. But are you and Ryan looking far enough down the line that you’re already discussing season three?

Absolutely. We have talked in general about stuff that would happen in season five or season six. We have a big-picture plan. We have talked about season three in quite a lot of detail. I’m hoping that we get to make this show for a long time.
