“I was kind of happy … and at the same time I was sad.” Alana Thompson, aka “Honey Boo Boo,” discussed the cancellation of her TLC series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo on a recent episode of OWN’s Where Are They Now.
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was cancelled by TLC in 2014 after reports surfaced that star Mama June was dating a registered sex offender.
In the interview, Thompson said one day the cameras just stopped showing up:
I woke up one morning and I was like, ‘Where is the crew?” And my mom was like, ‘We stopped filming the show.’ And I was kind of happy about that … and at the same I was sad so I was … sa-happy?”
In another clip from Where Are They Now, Mama June says the family moved to Georgia and Honey Boo Boo has already released a new song.
