Craig of the Creek is getting ready for its big debut. The new series will start a special premiere tomorrow on the CN app and VOD with its official premiere next month!
Cartoon Network revealed more about the premiere of the new animated series in a press release. Check that out below.
“Uncover unlimited adventure in the Cartoon Network original series, Craig of the Creek, available on the Emmy-winning CN App and VOD beginning Monday, Feb. 19. Co-created by three-time Emmy-nominated Steven Universe writers Matt Burnett and Ben Levin, the show follows the precocious Craig as he leads his best friends J.P. and Kelsey on comical journeys at their neighborhood creek, transforming everyday afternoons into thrilling expeditions through imaginative play.
Craig of the Creek will debut on-air with a double premiere event on Friday, March 30 at 6:25 p.m. (ET/PT). New episodes will continue to air on Cartoon Network on Mondays and Fridays this spring. In addition, the show will be featured at Cartoon Network’s third annual SXSW family event on Monday, March. 12.
“Matt and Ben have a proven track record of artful storytelling that resonates with kids,” stated Rob Sorcher, chief content officer for Cartoon Network. “With Craig of the Creek, they’ve managed to capture real life rendered through a child’s point of view – seeing magic in the everyday, and a world of limitless possibilities.”
Burnett and Levin added: “We both fondly remember the times we spent at our local creeks growing up and wanted to bring the elements of exploration and mystery we felt as children to Craig and his friends. The Creek represents the many ways kids love to play and captures the excitement they experience when left to create moments of fun on their own.”
Executive produced by Cartoon Network Studios, Craig of the Creek is the latest series to originate from the studio’s global Artists Program known for creating a pipeline of critically acclaimed, Emmy-winning shows and serving as a talent incubator for gifted animators.”
