Although its first season ratings were low enough for it cancelled on an ad-supported network, HBO renewed the Crashing TV show for a second season, anyhow. Can it manage to draw a larger audience and soar in the ratings during season two, or will it all come crashing down? Will Crashing be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A scripted HBO comedy, Crashing stars creator Pete Holmes in a semi-autobiographical role, with Dave Attell, Dov Davidoff, and Artie Lange playing versions of themselves. Also starring are Lauren Lapkus as Pete’s ex-wife, Jessica, and George Basil as Leif, her former lover. Jamie Lee recurs as Ali Reissen. The series follows Pete (Holmes), who dives into the cutthroat NYC comedy scene, after his marriage falls apart.
Guest stars in Crashing, season two, include Joy Behar, Doug Benson, Bill Burr, Whitney Cummings, Wayne Federman, Jermaine Fowler, Gilbert Gottfried, Penn Jillette, The Lucas Brothers, Eugene Mirman, John Mulaney, Aparna Nancherla, Dr. Oz, Jeff Ross, Bobby Tisdale, Melissa Villaseñor, and Henry Zebrowski.
