Adam Rodriguez is returning to CBS. Deadline reports the former CSI: Miami star has been cast as a series regular for season 12 of Criminal Minds.
Rodriguez played fingerprint and drug expert Eric Delko on CSI: Miami for 10 seasons until the show ended in 2012.
Though his Criminal Minds character name hasn’t been revealed yet, Rodriguez will play “a special agent who is a member of the FBI Fugitive Task Force and joins the Behavioral Analysis Unit.”

We’re thrilled to introduce a new special agent by adding the very talented Adam Rodriguez to our amazing cast. We have exciting storylines planned for his character and the entire BAU team as we head into our 12th season.”
Season 12 of Criminal Minds premieres this fall on CBS.
