It’s a big day for ABC. Earlier, it was reported the network is developing a romantic dramedy, a show featuring Allison Tolman, and a pilot from The Mindy Project‘s Ed Weeks. Now, The Wrap reports the network has bought a new comedy project from Casey Wilson, June Diane Raphael, and Elizabeth Laime.
The pilot, titled Crystal, will follow a former trailer park hustler who moves to the suburbs to reinvent her life.
Elizabeth Laime, who hosts the podcast Totally Laime, has written the pilot and will serve as a producer alongside Wilson and Raphael as supervisors.
Wilson and Raphael have teamed together before. The pair wrote the screenplay for Bride Wars along with Greg DePaul and two years ago, they released another film, Ass Backwards.
