The Daily Show, The Opposition: Comedy Central to Air Live State of the Union Episodes

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah TV show on Comedy Central: (canceled or renewed?)

Comedy Central has a special plan for the State of the Union address later this month! The network will air live episodes of The Daily Show and The Opposition following the speech by President Donald Trump on January 30.

Comedy Central revealed more about the planned live episodes in a press release. Check that out below.

“Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and The Opposition w/ Jordan Klepper will be providing instant analysis and commentary about the President’s first State of the Union address and telecast LIVE with back-to-back episodes from 11:00-11:30 p.m. ET (8:00-8:30 p.m. PT) and 11:30-midnight ET (8:30-9:00 p.m. PT) respectively on Tuesday, January 30.

This marks the seventh time The Daily Show with Trevor Noah has aired LIVE, having previously done so throughout the 2016 Presidential Election on election night, after the presidential and vice presidential debates, and on the final nights of both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. The Opposition w/ Jordan Klepper made its series debut last fall and will be airing a LIVE episode for the first time.

Available on-air, online and on-the-go via the Comedy Central App, Comedy Central (www.cc.com) is the #1 brand in comedy and is owned by, and is a registered trademark of, Comedy Partners, a wholly-owned unit of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA and VIAB).”
