The Dancing on the Edge TV series cast includes: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Matthew Goode, Joanna Vanderham, Wunmi Mosaku, Angel Coulby, Paul Dixon, Janet Montgomery, Jenna Coleman, Anthony Head, Allan Corduner, Mel Smith, and John Goodman.
PBS says, “Follow a drama about a black jazz band’s experiences in London in the 1930s. Composed of talented musicians, the band achieves success and secures record deals. Written and directed by Stephen Poliakoff, Dancing on the Edge is a 1930’s period drama detailing the rise of the Louis Lester Band, starring Chiwetel Ejiofor as Lester. As his band prevails, despite the racism and classism they encounter, Louis finds himself entangled in a series of unfortunate events which in no way involves Lemony Snicket. Once Lester becomes a suspect in a murder case, he must go on the lam, which could lead to his band’s demise. The series premiered on BBC Two February 4, 2013. In the US, it originally premiered on Starz on October 19, 2013.
John Goodman is Masterson. Jacqueline Bisset plays Lady Cremone. Janet Montgomery is Sarah. Angel Coulby plays Jessie. Wunmi Mosaku is Carla. Tom Hughes plays Julian. Joanna Vanderham is Pamela. Matthew Goode plays Stanley.
