TV show description:
Inspired by the book from Conn and Hal Iggulden, The Dangerous Book for Boys TV show is a family comedy-drama from creators Bryan Cranston and Greg Mottola. The Amazon TV series follows the McKenna family, as they mourn and adapt to the loss of Patrick (Diamantopoulos).
In addition to being the husband of Beth (Hayes) and father of Dash (Powell), Liam (Zielinski), and Wyatt (Bateman), Patrick was a playful inventor, as well as the kind of good man who touched the lives of those in his orbit. His untimely death has left his family, including his twin brother, Terry (Diamantopoulos), and their mom, Tiffany (Kurtz), reeling.
Thanks to Patrick’s foresight, however, there is still hope. In advance of his passing, he created The Dangerous Book for Boys, as a user’s manual of sorts, for his three sons.
The handbook inspires in the youngest McKenna boy, Wyatt, many flights of fancy. Most importantly, though, The Dangerous Book for Boys helps young Wyatt maintain his connection to his dad and also teaches him real skills, that he will need in his life.
Series Finale:
Episode #6 — How to Build a Treehouse
Beth kicks Uncle Terry out of the house after his well-intentioned project yields damage to the McKenna home. With a bedroom damaged and the entire family unraveling around him, Wyatt wonders if he might be better off alone.
First aired: March 29, 2018.
