Why is Butch Hartman leaving Nickelodeon? Recently, the Fairly Oddparents creator explained why he’s leaving the network after nearly 20 years.
Hartman began working at Nickelodeon in 1997 and has since created such animated series as Danny Phantom, Fairly Oddparents, TUFF Puppy, and Bunsen is a Beast.
So why is Hartman leaving Nickelodeon? In a video posted on YouTube, he explained that he left to focus on new projects. As a result, both Bunsen is a Beast and The Fairly Oddparents have ceased production.
