The thieves and thugs of Hell’s Kitchen better look out. Marvel’s Daredevil is coming back and by the looks of the new season two trailer for the Netflix series, the streets are as dangerous and in need of a hero as ever.
Released at New York Comic Con this week, the preview for the popular superhero show is short but suspenseful. We see all the cast regulars (protagonist Matt Murdock, Karen Page, Foggy Nelson, and Claire Temple) return and are treated to the briefest of glimpses at season two baddie, The Punisher, played by Joe Bernthal.
When season one of Marvel’s Daredevil ended, the titular hero had established himself as Matt Murdock, blind lawyer by day, and Daredevil, crimefighter by night. Over the course of 13 episodes, he and his allies came to blows with the powerful business tycoon Kingpin, ending in a bloody fight.
In season two, not only will vigilante The Punisher be playing a big role, but so too will Elektra, the female ninja assassin, who can be seen in the trailer being played by Elodie Yung.
Marvel’s Daredevil will return for season two in 2016.
