TV show description:
This action/drama series revolves around a group of undercover LAPD officers who run a highly covert team. What they do is so secret that many of their colleagues and family members don’t even know exactly what it is they do on the job.

Carter Shaw (Dylan McDermott) heads up this undercover police unit. His tough, relentless pursuit of the worst criminals in L.A. has cost him his marriage and personal life. He has worked everything from homicide to vice and lives in the the city’s dark underworld. It’s all led him to realize that, to fight crime, you have to lean more to the criminal side than the cop side. Because he doesn’t have a personal life and works 24/7, Carter expects the same devotion from his team.

Carter’s team includes Ty Curtis (Omari Hardwick), who isn’t sure whether his heart is really into being an undercover cop now that he’s married to Melissa (Meta Golding). He tells her it’s nothing more than a stepping stone for him, and that it could even lead to his own police command. His devotion to her is a constantly liability and causes conflicts when he needs to see old acquaintances and romances in his alternate undercover world.

Dean Bendis (Logan Marshall-Green) is another undercover cop on Carter’s team. Like Carter, he always gives 110%, but is also the most likely to cross over to the bad side and stay there when he goes undercover. He’s a loose-cannon who can problem-solve quickly and knows how to get around departmental policies to to get what he wants. He also knows how to get around Carter. The traits that make him an effective member of this team are also the same ones that make him a wild card.

The newest member of the undercover team is Jaimie Allen (Nicki Aycox). She was chosen to join for skills at deception; she fabricated her entire past on her police application and got away with it, right under the nose of Captain Maynard (Tyrees Allen). All of this was done to disguise her true history, something that she is determined to keep private.
