Deadline reports Franka Potente has been cast in a recurring role for the second season of the Dark Matter TV show on Syfy. Potente played Eleanor Nacht on The Bridge TV series which was cancelled after two seasons on FX. She also played Eva Heissen, on BBC America‘s cancelled series, Copper. Dark Matter, season two, premieres on Syfy, Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:00pm ET/PT.
According to the report, Potente plays Commander Shaddick, Chief Inspector of the Galactic Authority Serious Crimes Division, She is described as, “…cool, calculated and determined to prove the crew of the Raza were involved in the destruction of Iriden 3.” The Dark Matter TV series cast includes Marc Bendavid, Melissa O’Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr., Jodelle Ferland, Roger Cross, Zoie Palmer, Melanie Liburd, and Shaun Sipos.
